In our Wednesday Art ASA, we've enjoyed some really great projects! I hope your child has enjoyed them and has been inspired to create other amazing things along the way. In the words of one of Matisse, one of my favorite artists, "Creativity takes courage." I couldn't agree more. Let's create art for ourselves, first and foremost. Use it as an outlet to express yourself and don't worry about what anyone else thinks. :)
Please enjoy a few pictures of just a sampling of our art. I wish I had taken more, but c'est la vie. I suppose we were too busy creating.
Here are the projects we've done over the last 12 weeks and the resources, which Ms. Samar and I used to teach them:
Oct. 22, 29: Fox Drawing; we were inspired by the trailer of this beautiful movie
Nov. 5, 12: Icarus by Henri Matisse
Nov. 19, 26: UAE Flag with camel
art
Dec. 10, 17: Nutcracker (based on the ballet)
Jan. 7, 14: "People and Dog in Sun" by Juan Miro
Jan. 21, 28: Egyptian Key
It's been a true joy teaching you. :) I hope you will keep blossoming as artists!
